Dialogues (1966)
Flower, how do you feel
you are not able to change your place
for you there are no other ways
than standing still and whispering softly
together with the wind.
Wind, how do you feel
why do you always change your mind
one time you are so sweet and kind
another time you destroy the land
together with the sea.
Sea, how does it feel
to lie between the continents
to carry ships on your hands
and to drink the water that falls down
out of a bursting cloud.
Clouds, how do you feel
why do you always want to stay
when we need sun and why do you go away
when we need some flee and why do you
try to hide the sun
Sun, how does it feel
to be there up in the sky
to look down on the earth from high
and what do you think of things that happen
down here in this world.
Hello, moon, how are you
you give your light in the dark of night
and that’s what makes me feel alright
please don’t let a cloud come along
and hide you away.
Tell me, Atlas, how does it feel
to carry a world filled with hate
a world where people are afraid
to lose their money and luxuries
that they don’t even deserve.
And you, men, how would you feel
if you would be dislodged of your own little place
if your enemy would hit you in the face
and took all your money and luxuries
that neither you nor he deserves.
